Court fixes April 25 for recording Dr Amit's statement

Ambala, Apr 11 (UNI) All 12 accused in the kidney scam, including the kingpin Dr Amit Kumar, were produced in the court of special CBI Magistrate Dr Abdul Majid here today.

The court fixed April 25 for recording statements of the accused.

Pooja, wife of Dr Virender, was also present in the court.

However, the court ordered that seven accused namely Dr Amit, Nurse Linda and others, including Harpal, Suresh, Ramesh, Gyansuddin and Umesh, be produced tomorrow for recording their statements under section 164.

All the accused are facing charges of remoning kidneys from the innocent people for transplantations in the foreigners for high charges and were running the racket in Gurgaon.
