Congress refutes TDP's allegations on irrigation projects
Hyderabad, Apr 11 (UNI) Greater Hyderabad Congress Committee (GHCC) President D Nagender today refuted allegations by opposition TDP leader T Devender Goud that the Congress government had proposed to take up the Pranahita-Chevella irrigation project only to receive 'commissions'.
Addressing a joint press conference here with State Backward Class Welfare Minister M Mukesh Goud, Secunderbad Member of Parliament Anjan Kumar Yadav and AICC Secretary P Sudhakar Reddy he charged that the TDP's main agenda was to obstruct all the irrigation projects taken up by the state government.
He alleged that TDP leaders were making baseless allegations against the Congress government as they could not digest the support of the people in view of the various welfare programmes initiated by the government.
The GHCC president said the state government had taken up several irrigation projects in Telangana region to develop the region which was totally neglected during the nine-year TDP regime.
