Cabinet clears proposal for Mini Tool rooms under PPP
New Delhi, Apr 11 (UNI) The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs today gave its approval to a proposal from the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise to set up Mini Tool rooms in the country under Public Private Partnership (PPP) mode.
This is to be done in cooperation with the state governments, industries, associations, companies, NGOs and individuals.
The proposal is one of the recommendations of National Manufacturing Competitiveness Council set up by the Government with a view to improving the competitiveness of Indian manufacturing industries, particularly the micro, small and medium enterprises.
These tool rooms are being set up to create more facilities for designing and manufacturing of quality tools, dies, jigs, fixtures and to provide skilled manpower to micro, small and medium enterprises by conducting skill development programmes.
