AIADMK demands explanation on DA issue
Puducherry, Apr 11 (UNI) AIADMK State Secretary A Anbazhagan locked horns with Speaker R Radhakrishnan over dearness allowance(DA) to the staffs and workers of the AFT mills here today.
With the Chief Minister N Rangasamy replying that the administration would consider the issue, Mr Radhakrishnan refued to entertain any supplementary questions, even though Mr Anbazhagan and R Siva, DMK were on their feet stating that a calling attention motion on the subject should be taken up. Following this the members entered into an argument with the Speaker and wanted to know the reason behind the permission of the question.
Mr Radhakrishnan said the calling attention motion was scheduled for the day. But since the concerned minister sought some more time, it was postponed and it would come on April 17, he added.
Mr Anbazhagan, however, continued with his argument and later resumed his seat after another question was answered in the House.
