TNGEA stages dharna demanding vacancy filling
Madurai, Apr 10 (UNI) Urging the Tamil Nadu government to fill entry level vacancies in government offices, members of the Tamil Nadu Government Employees' Association (TNGEA) staged a dharna at Vadakku Masi Street junction in the city today.
The agitators also demanded the government not to interfere in administrative matters and asked higher officials to stop harassing their subordinates.
Employees working under consolidated and non-standard time scale pay structure like anganwadi and noon-meal workers, panchayat and village assistants, sanitary staff, people welfare officers, temporary junior assistants, computer assistants, librarians, forest guards and temporary technical staff in Tamil Nadu Medical Service should be brought under regular time scale and paid pension, they demanded.
Association members from Tirunelveli, Virudhunagar, Sivaganga, Ramanathapuram, Dindigal, Theni, Tuticorin and Kanniyakumari districts participated in the Dharna. UNI GSM PMM2131
