Property worth lakhs destroyed in fire
Mumbai, Apr 10 (UNI) Property worth over Rs one crore is estimated to have been destroyed in a fire that broke out in the Masjid Bunder locality in south Mumbai today.
The fire, which according to preliminary reports might have been caused by an electrical short circuit, started in the office of the Delhi-UP-MP State Transport Office, and later spread rapidly to adjoining Ganpati Roadlines, Apollo Transport and other places.
The fire was intense and was visible from even a distance of two kilometres, Fire department sources said the fire had broken out around 1310 hrs.
As many as 20 fire engines have been rushed to the spot along with three ambulances, Fire department sources said, adding no casualties have been reported.
