Papa Johns ebmarks upon expansion plan in India
Mumbai, Apr 10 (UNI) Papa Johns, world's third largest Pizza chain, today announced that it will invest Rs 250 crore over the next four years in India.
The Company is planning 20 outlets in major cities with the initial launch planned in Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai and Surat.
The Company has embarked upon an expansion programme with the opening of its fourth outlet here in Powai. With this, Papa Johns will have nine outlets in India.
JIP Fashion and Restaurant India Limited is the Company's franchisee in India.
Announcing this here, JIP General Manager Tapan Vaidya said the flagship outlet in Powai will further consolidate the Papa Johns brand in India.
''The growth in the number of pizza outlets in the last 8 to 9 years has been 15-20 per cent, we expect it to grow even faster at 25-40 per cent and beyond this year. We will open at least 100 Papa Johns stores in the next four years,'' Mr Vaidya added.
