Andhra Pradesh: Minor raped; rapist held

Hyderabad, Apr 10: The city police have arrested a person on the charge of raping and trying to kill a seven-year-old girl, under Kulsumpura police station limits.

Police said a special team had arrested Mohd Shaheed (20) yesterday. Shaheed confessed that he had kidnapped the girl by luring her with a chocolate and raped her. After raping the girl, he had strangulated her.

When the girl fell unconscious, Shaheed had assumed that she had died and fled the place.

The locals who noticed the unconscious girl, informed the police.
