J D (U) favours reservation for creamy layers also

New Delhi, Apr 10 (UNI) Welcoming the judgment of the Supreme Court upholding the 27 per cent reservation for the Other Backward Classes, the Janata Dal (United) today said that the Court should allow reservation for the 'so called creamy layers' also.

J D (U) General Secretary and spokesman Shambhu Srivastava supporting the inclusion of wards of the creamy layers for reservation for admissions and employment said in a statement that the total per centage of OBCs in Central Government employment was a mere 5.21 per cent and no purpose would be served by excluding this section of society.
