Increase in FSI to help low and middle income groups: CM
Mumbai, Apr 10 (UNI) Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh today said in the Legislative Assembly that increase in FSI has been proposed in Mumbai city and suburbs with a view to ensure houses at lower prices for low and middle income groups.
Speaking on the discussions on the budgetary demands of the housing department, Mr Deshmukh said the government would construct 10 lakh houses under various schemes in next two years in the state.
Scrapping of Urban Land Ceiling Act will help in reducing the housing prices in Mumbai city after two to three years, he aded.
He also said a regulator will be appointed and will have experts as its members, he added.
He further said the houses under Slum Redevelopment Authority will be constructed as per the national policy.
