Haryana Agri Deptt to launch quality control campaign
Chandigarh, Apr 10 (UNI) Haryana Agriculture Department will launch a special quality control campaign in the state in collaboration with the district administration to ensure the supply of good quality agricultural inputs to the farmers.
While giving the details here today, Haryana Agriculture Minister Harmohinder Singh Chatha said the campaign will be organised in two phases i.e from April 25 to May 20 with special emphasis on seeds and fertilisers and from June 10 to July 10 with emphasis on fertilisers and pesticides.
He said that the main emphasis of the campaign will be on quality testing of samples of seeds, fertilisers, pesticides, weedicides and fungicides.
Mr Chatha said all the Deputy Commissioners in the state had been asked to monitor the campaign. He informed that the field officers of the Agriculture Department had been directed to organise campaign for inspecting the establishments dealing with agricultural inputs, draw samples, send the same for analysis to the laboratories and check all the agricultural input sale outlets comprehensively.
