Grenade creates panic in Hyderabad

Hyderabad, Apr 10: A live grenade was defused by the bomb disposal squad at a scrap dealer's shop in the city.

Police said the scrap dealer, Sampath Kumar, had alerted the Asif Nagar police that a suspicious object was found in his shop. Police immediately rushed to the spot along with the bomb disposal squad.

The squad defused the grenade and sent it to the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) for conducting tests, yesterday.

Police launched investigation to find out how the explosive material landed in the shop.
