Four FSI for mill workers' chawls during redevelopment: CM
Mumbai, Apr 10 (UNI) Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh today announced that the chawls of textile mill workers would be given four FSI during the redevelopment.
Replying to the discussion on textile mill workers from Mumbai in the Legislative Council, Mr Deshmukh said the houses of textile mill workers would be constructed on the ceiling land.
One member from the mill worker's family would get a job and subsidy of Rs two lakh to purchase houses under MHADA scheme, Mr Deshmukh said.
Mr Deshmukh also said that it would be mandatory for all the industrial units and malls, which would come up on the mill land, to give 75 per cent of their jobs to the children of mill workers.
