Boy held for stealing valuables

Kannur, Apr 10 (UNI) Police arrested a 14-year-old boy, who robbed valuables from a house after attending a marriage function there, at Ayyikkara near here today.

Police said the modus operandi of the boy Farish was to attend marriage functions and play with other boys.

Police recovered 20 sovereigns of gold and cash Rs 86,000 from his mother, who was said to be encouraging the boy to rob houses.

Police identified him from two photos wearing the same dress in two different marriage functions.

The boy was produced before the Thalassery Juvenile Court, police added.
