BJP to take out protest march in Mumbai tomorrow
Mumbai, Apr 10 (UNI) The city BJP unit will take out a 'morcha' here tomorrow to protest what they call the failure of the Congress-led Democratic Front (DF) government in controlling prices of essential commodities and the 'deteriorating' law and order situation in Maharashtra'.
City BJP president Prakash Mehta, in a release today, said the protest march will start from S Patil Udyan at Charni Road and culminate at Azad Maidan in South Mumbai.
The common man in the metropolis was facing difficulty in making the ends meet due to the rising cost of living and the middle class could not afford to buy a house in the city. Also, the law and order situation in the city had deteriorated, with jewellers and banks in the city being looted and a murder taking place every single day, the release said.
''The consumer price index has also increased in the last couple of years and the common man should join the BJP in the protest,'' said Mr Mehta.
BJP national general secretary Gopinath Munde, state party president Nitin Gadkari and other workers will participate in the march, the release added.
