Beedi bundles, meant for Lanka seized
Ramanathapuram, Apr 10 (UNI) Tamil Nadu police have seized six beedi bundles, meant for smuggling to Sri Lanka and arrested three people at Keezhakkarai, here today.
Police sources said during the routine vehicle check at the Keezhakkarai police check post, the cops intercepted an autorickshaw and found the beedi bundles without any proper bills.
Further interrogation revealed that they were meant for smuggling to Sri Lanka.
Three persons, including the autorickshaw driver were arrested by the police who also seized the beedi bundles and the autorickshaw.
