Woman kills father for offering to marry her
Vadodara, Apr 9 (UNI) In a spine chilling incident, a 25-year-old woman lynched her father after he allegedly tried to outrage her modesty and proposed to marry her.
The incident reportedly took place in the in-laws house of accused Gita Parmar in Shekdi village under Petlad police station in Anand district late last night.
Police sources said the father, identified as Dayabhai Solanki, was in inebriated condition when he allegedly went to his youger daughter's house and expressed his wish to marry her.
Infuriated by her drunken father's behaviour, Gita, who was then alone in the house, picked up a lathi and allegedly beat him to death. Solanki, a daily wage labourer, succumbed to his injuries at the Petlad hospital, sources said.
Police later arrested Gita after her elder sister Asha Parmar lodged a complaint. Gita has confessed to the crime, sources added.
