Two decomposed bodies found in Kolhapur

Kolhapur, Apr 9 (UNI) Two decomposed bodies of a 50-year-old woman and her young daughter were today recovered from the city's Samratnagar locality.

Police have identified the woman-daughter duo as Kamalabai and Deepali (18).

An anonymous letter addressed to them revealed the twin murders, police sources said here today.

According to sources, they received the letter saying that both Kamalabai and Deepali were not to be seen in their house for long and the people in the neighbourhood suspect about their disapperance.

Following this, the police investigated the case and found that Kamalabai's two stepsons, Shivaji Bhikaji Gavade (26) and Tanaji (25), had murdered the woman-daughter duo on February 13 and buried them in a ditch dug within the compound of the house. Shivaji and Tanaji murdered them over property dispute, sources added.
