Reference rate steady at Rs 40.02 per USD

Mumbai, Apr 9 (UNI) The Reserve Bank of India today fixed the reference rate for the US dollar at Rs 40.02, unchanged from its yesterday's rate.

The exchange rates for Pound and Japanese Yen against the Rupee was quoted at Rs 78.7774 (79.4437) per Pound and Rs 39.12 (39.10) per 100 unit respectively, an RBI release said.
