Police bust deer skin selling racket in K'taka

Madikeri, Apr 9(UNI) Kushalnagar Forest Squad have busted a poacher gang indulged in killing deer for their skin in and around Kushalnagar reserve forest in Kodagu district.

DFO B B Mallesh said two persons had been arrested in this connection and deer skin, deer meat and a gun was seized from their possession.

The arrested were identified as Zari and Umesh the other accused P D Ponnappa and Raja were absconding, he said.

The accused were enjoying 'Rasam' made using the deer meat and bones when the forest team raided their house last night, the official added.
