Forest squad busts gang of poachers
Madikeri, Apr 9 (UNI) The Kushalnagar Forest Squad have busted a gang of poachers, who were indulging in killing deer for its skin, in and around Kushalnagar reserve forest in Kodagu district.
DFO, B B Mallesh said two persons had been arrested in this connection and a gun was seized from them.
The arrested were identified as Zari and Umesh, while the other accused P D Ponnappa and Raja were absconding, he said.
The accused were enjoying 'rasam', made from the deer meat and bones when the forest team closed in on them at their house last night, the officials added.
