Uma defends Advani in Babri Masjid demolition case
Mirzapur, Apr 8 (UNI) Coming out in defence of Bharatiya Janata Party leader Lal Krishna Advani, Bharatiya Jan Shakti (BJS) president and former Madhya Pradesh chief minister Uma Bharati today said he was against Babri Masjid demolition.
''The BJP leader was against the demolition of Babri Masjid and even wanted to repent for the same later,'' Ms Bharati said addressing newspersons here.
Even, Rashtriya Swayam Sevak Sangh's leader K C Sudarhsan was then speechless after seeing the condition of Mr Advani, the BJS president added.
Both Mr Advai and Ms Bharati are accused in the December 6, 1992 demolition case.
Ms Bharati said defeating the Congress was the main objective of her party. Therefore, she declared to field 20 to 25 candidates in the next Lok Sabha election.
