Retrenched Mother Dairy labourers submit memorandum to PM
New Delhi, Apr 8 (UNI) Retrenched labourers from Mother Dairy, who have been on hunger strike since March 27, today submitted a memorandum to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi, demanding that the management rescind its decision.
They said the management had promised to regularise all the casual labourers in 2007.
''The management has meted out gross injustice to these labourers who have given their best years to the organisation.
At this time of their lives they can not find new jobs,'' activist Prahalad Aggarwal, who is supporting the agitating labourers said.
He demaned that the labourers immediately reinstated.
