NDA govt insensitive to providing justice at affordable price:Rabri
Patna, Apr 8 (UNI) Former Bihar Chief Minister Rabri Devi today alleged that the Nitish Kumar government was insensitive to the vital issue of providing justice to the masses at an affordable price.
In a release here, Ms Rabri Devi said the recent hike in court fees was a testimony to the fact that the Nitish Kumar government was creating hurdles to stop the masses from seeking justice in the court.
''The NDA government has constituted a ministerial committee, headed by Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi, to look into the objections raised by the lawyers' association on court fee hike,'' Ms Rabri Devi said.
It was nothing but an attempt to delay the decision on the matter and prolong the ongoing indefinite strike of the advocates across the state, she added.
She said the government should have withdrawan the recent hike of the court fees to end the lawyers' strike instead of delaying the decision on the matter.
She also offered the support of her party to the lawyers' strike.
