Mayor of Valladolid city of Spain meets Delhi Mayor

New Delhi, Apr 8 (UNI) Mayor of the Valladolid city of Spain, Francisco Javier Leon De La Riva and Director General of Casadela India, Guilleramo Rodriguez Martin today met Delhi Mayor Arti Mehra, Leader of House, Subhash Arya and Leader of Opposition, Jai Kishan Sharma.

During the meetings, where senior municipal officers were also present, Mr Francisco apprised the Mayor that an Indian cultural centre has been set up in his city where Indian folk dances and Hindi were being taught to Spanish population.

He emphasised that the cultural as well as social relations between Delhi and Valladolid needs to be strengthened more. He said he has paid four visits to India and experienced vast development in Delhi during his current visit.

Ms Mehra assured every cooperation in strengthening the social and cultural ties between both the cities. She also emphasised that technical and scientific knowhow in the field of civic services between the two cities shall be promoted for benefit of the citizens of these cities.
