High command to decide on induction of Monserrate: Hariprasad
Panaji, Apr 8 (UNI) All India Congress Committee (AICC) General Secretary and in-charge of Goa desk B K Hariprasad today said no decision has been taken so far on induction of Mr Antansio Monserrate as a minister in the Digambar Kamat-led government here.
Mr Hariprasad said he would submit a report to the party president Sonia Gandhi who would take the final decision on the issue.
Mr Hariprasad, who was in Goa with the intention of resolving the difference brewing in the ruling coalition and induction of Mr Monserrate as a minister, said he had discussions with Chief Minister Digamber Kamat, GPCC president Francisco Sardhina and other Congress MLAs to sort out the issue and also ascertained their views on the inclusion of the new minister.
Chief Minister Kamat also said he had not yet received any formal communication from the high command on the inclusion of Mr Monserrate, adding that he would go by the high command directive as and when received.
