4 killed, 12 injured in Nashik accident
Nashik, Apr 8 (UNI) Four persons were killed and twelve others injured when the van in which they were travelling fell into a well near Mungase village on the Mumbai-Agra national highway in Malegaon taluka of this district today.
The van was carrying a marriage party to Dhule district, police said.
Police said prima facie it appears the driver of the van, Vikram Mahale (22), had lost control over the vehicle which resulted in its falling into the well along side the highway.
The deceased include a woman, a man and two children. They have been identified as Meenabai Jagannath Ahire (35) from Nashik district, Rajeev Bide (30) from Thane district, Ganesh Rajeev Bide (3) and Khushi Prakash Dalvi from Nashik district.
The twelve others injured in the accident, have been admitted to a private hospital in Malegaon. The condition of three of them is stated to be critical. The driver of the vehicle is among the injured.
