Tatanet bags multi-million dollar contract from TCIL
New Delhi, Apr 7 (UNI) Tatanet, a division of NELCO Ltd, today said it has bagged an order from Telecommunications Consultants India Ltd (TCIL) to supply Satcom equipment for pan-African e-Network project.
The network will provide tele-medicine, tele-education, services to 53 member countries of African Union and VVIP connectivity (VoIP and Video Conferencing) among the Heads of States, a company statement said.
''This project has many firsts and provides us the platform to showcase our skills in the field of System Integration and Satcom project,'' said Tatanet Vice President - Sales (Enterprise&Turnkey Projects) and Program Management Kaushik Mandal.
The network will also assimilate 12 Super Specialty Hospitals in India, reputed for their specialised treatment in various medical disciplines, to provide tele-consultation and continuing medical education (CME) services.
TCIL was set up under the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, which is implementing this multi-million dollar pan-African e-Network project on turnkey basis, funded by Ministry of External Affairs.
