SIMI activists sent to judicial custody
Ujjain, MP, Apr 7 (UNI) A local court has sent five activists of the banned Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI) -- arrested from Unhel town of Ujjain district -- to judicial custody till April 21.
According to the prosecution, the five activists -- Jadil Pervez, Ayyaz alias Ashu, Akbar, Mehuruddin Sheikh and Irshad Ali -- were arrested from Unhel town on March 31.
Nagda Judicial Magistrate Umesh Kumar had sent them to police remand up to April 7. After their police remand was over, the court today sent them to judicial custody.
