Paswan appoints Abdul Khaliq as LJP general secretary

New Delhi, Apr 7 (UNI) Mr Abdul Khaliq has been appointed the National General Secretary of the Lok Janshakti Party by party president Ram Vilas Paswan.

Mr Khaliq was the additional secretary in the Railway Ministry and had experience in the administrative machinery of the government. He sought voluntary retirement from the government last year.

''With his commitment towards the cause of the under-priviledged sections of the society and to the ideology of LJP, I am sure he will be able to contribute immensely to the national as well as the party's cause,'' Mr Paswan said in a statement here.
