INS Shivaji gets Hindi Rajbhasha Award
Kochi, Apr 7 (UNI) Indian Naval Ship Shivaji, the engineering training naval base at Lonavla in Pune under the Southern Naval Command (SNC), was declared the winner of the 'Hindi Rajbhasha Rolling Trophy' for the year 2007-08.
The trophy, instituted to promote Hindi, was awarded to the unit for undertaking maximum official work in the national language, according to an official release here today.
While INS Dronacharya, the gunnery training school here, got the second prize, the Naval Ship Repair Yard here was honoured for observing the best practices in human resources development among Defence civilians in the Indian Navy.
SNC Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief Vice Admiral Sunil K Damle presented the awards, it added.
