Corruption at its peak in Mayawati's regime: SP

Basti, Apr 7 (UNI) Principal Opposition Samajwadi Party (SP) today denounced the ruling Mayawati led-Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) government in Uttar Pradesh for looting people and being involved in corruption.

''Corruption is halting all the development work in the state...all the ministers of Ms Mayawati are busy looting money that belongs to the comman-man,'' SP state unit acting president Shivpal Singh Yadav said while canvassing for party candidate Balchand Yadav for the April 12 Khalilabad Lok Sabha bypoll.

Ms Mayawati was misutilising people's money by spending it on parks and busts, he added.

''The CM has given freedom to her favourite ministers and officials, while the comman-man is deprived of justice,'' Mr Yadav maintained.

Law and order situation was worsening day-by-day in UP, he alleged.
