Bhattal claims patch up with Amarinder
Chandigarh, Apr 7 (UNI) Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) chief Rajinder Kaur Bhattal today claimed that she had 'patched up' with senior party colleague and former Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh.
''Minor misunderstandings arise, but we are all united under AICC president Sonia Gandhi'', she said at a media conference here.
Both Ms Bhattal and Capt Singh had been involved in a war of words, with the latter taking exception to the style of functioning of the PPCC. Ms Bhattal on her part had criticised Capt Singh of airing his views in the media rather than at the party forum.
Ms Bhattal welcomed the inclusion of Rajya Sabha member Manohar Singh Gill in the Union Council of Ministers.
She took exception to the Sikh gurus being referred to as 'saints' in senior BJP leader L K Advani's book, 'My Life, My Country'. '' There can be no change in the status of the Sikh gurus and they have to be refered to as such and not as saints'', she said while demanding an apology from Mr Advani.
