AQ Khan says he saved Pakistan by accepting nuke secrets' leakage
Islamabad, Apr 7 : Pakistan's disgraced nuclear scientist AQ Khan has said that he had saved Pakistan by accepting the charges of exporting nuclear secrets to Iran, North Korea and Libya.
Khan told a French news agency that Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) leaders Chaudhary Shujaat Hussain and Mushahid Hussain Syed had also admitted the fact that he took the responsibility of exporting nuclear secrets to save the country.
He also said that the new Pakistani Government had not tried to get in touch with him.
Khan said that during his days of confinement faith in Almighty Allah and recital of the Holy Quran gave him peace of mind.
Khan has been under house arrest since early 2004 when he confessed to passing atomic secrets to Iran, North Korea and Libya.
