Shaktipatacharya Om Teerth Maharaj passes away
Indore, Apr 6 (UNI) Dewas-based Narayan Kuti Sanyas Ashram's Shaktipatacharya 1008 Sri Shiv Om Teerth Maharaj died this morning at a hospital in Tamil Nadu Coimbature town following prolonged illness.
He was 82.
Maharaj had gone to Coimbature to get medical treatment.
In a statement issued here today, his body was being taken from Coimbature to Rishikesh where it would be kept for public 'darshan' on April 8.
On the next day, the Maharaj would be given 'Jal Samadhi' in holy Ganges.
Maharaj spent 40 years at the ashram and penned several books on spirituality.
He also constituted the Swami Vishnu Teerth Prize in the memory of his Guru.
