Rich tributes paid to Ch Devi Lal on death anniversary

Chandigarh, Apr 6 (UNI) Rich tributes were paid to former Deputy Prime Minister, the late Chaudhary Devi Lal today on his seventh death anniversary.

INLD party workers and followers of Chaudhary Devi Lal held prayer meetings at different places of Haryana, Punjab, Delhi and other parts of the country.

The main function was held at Late Chaudhary Devi Lal's Memorial 'Sangharsh Sthal' in New Delhi, where an all-religion meeting led by various religious leaders was held.. Hymns were sung from the various scriptures.

Former Haryana Chief Minister and his son Chaudhary Om Prakash Chautala, former Tripura Governor, Ch Sultan Singh, Member Parliament and Secretary General INLD, Mr Ajay Singh Chautala and a number of other prominent persons attended the prayer meeting at 'Sangharh Sathal', New Delhi.

Senior INLD leaders, MLAs, former ministers, MLAs and MPs and other office bearers led the prayer meetings organized at all the district headquarters and other cities of Haryana. Apart from the Sarv Dharam Sabhas, fruits, food were also distributed among the people; free medicines were offered to the hospital patients at different places to commemorate the occasion in different districts of Haryana.
