Pak Police arrest eight suspect bombers

Islamabad, Apr.6 : Police in Pakistan's Bahawalnagar area have arrested eight suspected suicide bombers and recovered suicide jackets and detonation material from them.

The Nation quoted Syed Zafar Abbas Bokhari, a senior police official as saying that 45 kilograms of explosive material, suicide jackets, ball bearings, etc were recovered from the suspect bombers.

He said the culprits had installed two bombs in Bahawalnagar at different points which fortunately failed to explode.

He said Maulana Farooq Ahmad Rajan Puri, chief of Madrassa Nusrat-ul-Mujahideed Khichiwala, district Bahawalnagar, was the ringleader of the gang and Mohammad Ashraf, an expert in making bombs, bought the explosive material from Mohammad Usman Mujahid of Sargodha.

The eight have been identified as Mohammad Ashraf Bhatti, Muhammad Abdullah Kamboh, Mohammad Amin, Mohammad Talib Rehmani, Muhammad Saddique, Muhammad Farooq Rajanpur, Inamul Haq and Hafiz Bashir Ahmad.
