Naxal leader remanded to judicial custody
Karim Nagar, Apr 6 (UNI) The Karim Nagar Magistrate today remanded the banned Janashakti Party Central Committee Secretary K Amar alias Devenadar to judicial custody for 14 days.
Earlier, speaking to newspersons here, the district Superintendent of Police Y Gangadhar said Amar was arrested in Pune yesterday night.
Acting on a tip off, the special police had arrested him and brought to Andhra Pradesh this morning.
The Naxal leader, who was produced before the media by the police, said the party had lost credibility in society after the peace talks held between the government and Naxal parties in 2004.
People were not supporting the extremists parties as they were vexed with its violent ideology.
