Naidu fails to prove charges made against YSR: Devineni Rajasekhar
Vijayawada, Apr 6 (UNI) Former Minister and Congress Legislator Devineni Rajasekhar today said TDP President N Chandrababu Naidu had totally failed in proving a single charge made against Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy during the no-confidence motion debate in the Andhra Pradesh Assembly recently.
Addressing the media here, Devineni Rajasekhar alias Nehru said that Naidu had not submitted any evidence on the charges made against Dr Reddy. Instead he had submitted a couple of papers in the House stating that the state government had not taken up any welfare schemes for the people in the last four years, he added.
Mr Nehru commented that Mr Naidu had lost his mental balance after losing power in 2004 Assembly elections.
Stating that he was making baseless statements against Dr reddy, Mr Nehru said the TDP supremo had also failed to prove rampant corruption in the Congress ruled state government, as alleged by him.
Referring to Mr Naidu's remarks against the new Telugu daily 'Sakshi', launched by Chief Minister's son Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, Mr Nehru said Mr Naidu, during his regime, had also proposed to start a daily 'Naadesam' - the mouth organ of TDP.
On the TDP Chief's objectionable remarks against state Assembly Deputy Speaker Dr Kutuhalamma and TDP Legislator K Balaram's statements allegedly insulting speaker K R Suresh Reddy, he said it was highly objectionable and the TDP members were showing disrespect to the Speaker's chair.
