Moscow's warm spring hits new temperature record

Moscow, Apr 6 (UNI) Today's temperature in Moscow hit 19.2 degrees Celsius (66.56 Fahrenheit), a record high for April 6, as the capital's unusually warm spring continues, Russian Meteorological Service said.

The previous record for April 6 was registered in 1975.

According to the Service, temperatures could rise even higher by the end of the day today.

Numerous temperature records have been broken in Moscow in recent years. March last year was the warmest in 125 years, and January 2008 was the mildest since records began 130 years ago.
