Ban on sale, purchase and storage of army pattern dress in Kashmir
Srinagar, Apr 6 (UNI) The Jammu and Kashmir government has banned the sale of readymade dresses of Army pattern in north Kashmir district of Bandipora.
Similar ban has also been imposed in other districts of the valley, including twin bordere districts of Kupwara and Baramulla.
An official spokesman said the District Magistrate, Bandipora, has ordered immediate ban on the sale, purchase, stitching and storage of readymade dresses of Army pattern.
He said the Tehsildars and Station House Officers (SHOs) of police stations in the district have been directed to conduct raids frequently on the local market in their respective jurisdiction and seize the combat deceptive pattern cloth and readymade dresses of Army pattern and keep them after maintaining proper records.
In the past militants were carrying out fidayeen attacks wearing security force dreasses.
