Aircraft suffers bird hit, passengers safe
Bangalore, Apr 6 (UNI) A Coimbatore-bound Jetlife Boeing 737 carrying 160 passengers was delayed when a bird hit the under carriage of the aircraft just before take-off at the HAL Airport here today.
Jetlife sources said the incident comes in the wake of a Kingfisher aircraft suffering damage when it hit a dog on the runway while taking off here last week.
The incident occurred when the aircraft taxied away to take off.
However, there were no injuries to any passengers or damage to the aircraft as it was safely brought to a halt by the pilot.The flight took off after a four-hour delay.
