10 killed in tractor accident in W Nepal

Kathmandu, Apr 6: At least ten people were killed and 23 injured when a tractor fell about 200 meters down the road at Punna near Silgudi in Doti district of western Nepal.

''The tractor carrying about 30 people skidded off the road, killing 10 people on the spot,'' Kantipur quoted Janak Raj Regmi, Chief District Officer in Doti as saying. ''Police are rescuing the injured and trying to recover the bodies trapped under the vehicle,'' he said. The injured were being treated at Dipayal Hospital and Sujan Hospital in the area, he added.
