Only hologram-marked liquor could be sold

Betul, MP, Apr 5 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Commercial Tax Minister Babulal Gaur today said sale of only hologram-marked liquor would be allowed from April 15 in order to curb sale of spurious liquor.

''The government has made necessary preparations in this regard.

Sale of spurious liquor would not be possible in the state,'' Mr Gaur told reporters here today.

He said the government was taking various steps to increase its income. Excise revenue -- which was to the tune of Rs 400 crore in previous Congress regime -- has grown to Rs 1,630 crore.
