Micreants rob three idols from temple
Barrackpore, Apr 05 (UNI) Unknown miscreants looted three silver and bronze idols, along with ornaments and utensils, from a temple at Laxmi Narayan colony in Garulia under Noapara Police Station in North 24 Parganas late last night.
Police said here today that the temple owner Sudershan Bhattacharya had lodged a complaint with the police station and an investigation had been started.
The temple was erected several years ago by the first inhabitant of the Laxmi Narayan Colony, late Laxmi Ratan Bhattachaya, the father of Sudershan, municipal authorities in Garulia said.
