Man with loaded gun held at Sonia's rally

Karaikudi (Tamil Nadu), April 5: Tamil Nadu police on Saturday arrested a man with a loaded gun from the venue of the rally which Congress president Sonia Gandhi was to address in Karaikudi in the State's Sivaganga District.

According to police, the man is yet to be identified and is being interrogated. Gandhi, who is on a day-long visit to the State, will participate in two functions organised by Finance Minister P. Chidambaram. Apart from the rally, Gandhi is also scheduled to inaugurate the auditorium atAlagappa University.
