Fergie is desperate to have kids

Washington, Apr 5 : Singer Fergie is desperate to start a family and plans to turn to Gwen Stefani for some baby advice.

The Black Eyed Peas star wants to have kids as soon as she weds actor fiance Josh Duhamel, but admits that she has clue when it comes to babies.

Therefore, the 'London Bridge' hit-maker is planning to consult as many starry mums as possible for tips.

"I'd like to ask Gwen (Stefani), because she's really done a great job," Contactmusic quoted her, as saying.

Fergie - real name Stacy Ferguson, insisted that there's no way she could perform while she's expecting - like Stefani and new mums such as Jennifer Lopez and Christina Aguilera did.

She said: "I don't want to be touring... I know I don't want that. Because I get way too physical onstage.

"I don't think I could hold myself back. And I would just be scared to hurt the baby. I'd take time off to read books about having babies, because I have no idea about that. I've never really changed a diaper."
