Eve teasing leads to group clash

Gulbarga, Apr 5 (UNI) Eve teasing led to group clash during which one miscreant opened fire in the air with a country made revolver at Udachand Village in Afjalpur Taluq in the district this evening.

Police said that a girl student went to Shiraval Village to write Tenth Standard examination, when some boys of the village eve teased her. When she informed the matter to her parents and relatives they beaten up the eve teasers.

Knowing this as many as 20 boys of Shirval village went to Udachand village to retaliated on the girl's parents and relatives.

One of the boys, fired five rounds in the air.

Meanwhile, large number of villagers of Udchand surrounded the attackers and detained four of them and later handed over to the police.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Mahanta visited the village.

However, the parents of the girl refused to lodge a police complaint fearing future of the girl.

The police have launched a search to nab the other miscreants.

No one was injured in the clash.
