Datacom receives license for 22 circles
New Delhi, Apr 5: Datacom Solutions today said they have received the license for 22 circles from Department of Telecom (DoT) and are waiting for spectrum allocation to roll out the services.
''We have got the the license for all 22 circles we had applied for and are waiting for spectrum allocation to roll out our services. We have applied for spectrum from 4.4-4.6 Mhz,'' Datacom Chairman, Venugopal Dhoot told reporters here. Datacom, Videocon's subsidiary, had applied for a pan-India licence to start cellular operations in 22 circles. The group has a chain of 900 retail showrooms called NEXT which sells mobile phones and other electronic goods.
