Arms, weapons, gold ornaments and cash seized from train
Rourkela, Apr 5 (UNI) Rourkela GRP have seized two pistols, a revolver, 62 packets of gold ornament and Rs 1,36,670 in cash from the Samaleswari Express here late last night.
Police said all the arms, weapons, gold and the money were packed in a cotton bag and abandoned in the train.
Police believed the gold and the money to be a part of the amount were looted from the Dharmasala branch of the State Bank of India at Sonepur a few days back.
The Dhrmasala Bank Manager had already identified the gold ornaments.
Meanwhile, a police team comprising Dharmasala police and Rourkela GRP investigating the case had detained a person at Chakradharpur in Jharkhand in connection with the incident.
Further investigation was on.
